A short presentation of the team and the partners in Rite Internet Ventures follows below.
Christoffer Haggblom, Managing Director, partner
Christoffer Häggblom graduated as a Masters of Science in Financial Economy from the Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki. Alongside his studies, he formed Supportersplace.com and was an early investor in Vanilja.net. He went on to form B&H Ventures Ltd, which is an internet investment and consultancy company. Häggblom has followed and worked within the internet industry since 1996 and has a wide network of contacts within the business. In 2005 he received the Anders Wall scholarship for entrepreneurship. He has also worked within Remium Investment Bank, and has been responsible for the company’s expansion to Finland.
Niclas Winroth, Analyst
Niclas Winroth holds a master's degree (MSc) in finance from Stockholm School of Economics, SSE and Sciences Po, Paris. Parallell with his studies he has worked for SHB asset management and completed an internship for Confederation of Swedish Enterprise. Niclas has experience from working both with listed as well as private equity companies from his previous employment with ITP Invest.
Peter Lindell, Chairman of the Board, partner
Peter Lindell graduated from Linköping Institute of Technology. He began his career as a programmer at Idata. In 1980, together with a partner, he started up a consultancy company that developed and sold programs and services. The same group formed Turn-Key Data in 1981. Two years later, Peter Lindell formed Nordic Datadistribution. There, he first worked as CEO and then as chairman. Under Peter’s leadership, Nordic was developed into one of the leading distributors of PC products in Sweden. In 1991, the company was sold to the stock-listed Brittsh company, P&P Plc. In 1993, Peter left Nordic, which, by that time, had a turnover of more than SEK 200 million and then worked in venture capital in the IT sector. Peter is a senior partner in ITP-Invest and is also a member of the board of Unibet.
Staffan Persson, Board Member, partner
Staffan Persson, BSc, has been CFO at Scandecor, Financial Controller at Robert Bosch, head of Corporate Finance at Sundsvallsbanken (now a part of Nordea), Senior Partner at Nordia Fondkommission, Head of Investment Banking Sweden at HSBC and since 1995 Senior Partner at ITP Invest. Furthermore, he acts as the chairman of the stock listed company Neonet and as member of the board of Unibet. Staffan has been an early investor in Owell (IPO 1994, acquired by WM Data 1995) Trevise Bank (acquired by Unibank 1997) Ark (IPO 1999, acquired by CarlsonWagonlit 2007) Kentor (acquired by Telecomputing 2007) Gant (acquired by Maus Frères 2008) Unibet (IPO 2004) Neonet (IPO 2001) among others.
Tommy Jacobson, partner
Tommy Jacobson is one of the founders of the investment company, Quesada AB, and one of the largest owners of the company. Quesada’s asset management was sold to EFG Investment Bank in 2006. He is also a member of the board of Djurgården Fotboll AB. Before Tommy started up Quesada AB, he was managing director of and one of the founders of Trevise Bank AB, an asset management company that was sold to Unibank in 1997. Tommy has a degree in Economics from Linköping University.
Anders Strom, Partner
Anders Ström formed Unibet in 1997 and at the present time he is working chairman. He started his career as a teacher in 1989. From 1991-1993, he studied mathematics, statistics and economics. In 1993, after a period as a journalist, he formed Trav- och Sporttjänst AB, which, by 1999, had a turnover of GBP 1 million and good profitability. Anders Ström sold his holding in Trav- och Sporttjänst AB in order to start up Unibet.
